Why I’m on the Edge.
I became a multi-storied immigrant when I left London to live on the Welsh border eight years ago. It means I stand out. In London I was a two-storied immigrant. Most people in my part of London were two-storied so I barely made a ripple in my row of semis. Before London, I was a bungalow from the former colonies. A ground level immigrant. But until Britain entered the EU in the 70s, I was a rather nice villa with a return verandah. Britain was our mother, and my mother was British. I’m a boomerang Brit. Don’t you hate it when that happens?
